Welcome to TripMate
Revolutionizing how you plan, document, and reflect on your journeys. Optimized routes, multimedia journaling, and AI assistance at your fingertips.
TripMate is a web application aimed to revolutionize the way people plan, document, and reflect on their trips. Users can enter the sites they wish to visit, and the application will generate an optimized travel plan based on the minimum distance to be traveled. The app will visualize this plan on Google Maps.
Additionally, users can upload or take photos, videos, or audio-recordings during the trip and associate them with particular sites or legs of the journey. The application will allow an automated slideshow view of the trip later on. Users can also ask questions about the trip and get information about the sites they are planning to visit or have visited using an integrated LLM or online APIs.
With user authentication and profile management, TripMate allows users to save their trip data, revisit past adventures, and plan new ones seamlessly.

- Trip Planning with Google Maps: Users can enter the sites they wish to visit, and the application will compute the optimal route to minimize travel distance and time using algorithms like Dijkstra's or A*. The plan is displayed on Google Maps with waypoints.
- Multimedia Association with Trip: Allows users to upload or take photos, videos, or audio recordings during the trip. Media can be geotagged and associated with particular sites in the travel plan.
- Automated Trip View: Generates an automated slideshow or timeline view that combines the travel plan map with associated photos, videos, audio, and any notes, allowing users to relive their journey.
- Question and Answering System: Users can ask questions about sites or the trip. Answers can be generated by consulting an online API like Wikipedia or an integrated Large Language Model (LLM).
- User Authentication and Profile Management: Users can register and save their trip data, allowing them to revisit past trips and plan new ones. Profile management features ensure a personalized experience.
